Background

The Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Deira Creek, the city’s first five-star property, has rolled out a fresh set of community-focused initiatives, reinforcing what has become an increasingly important part of its brand identity in the post-anniversary chapter.

The historical waterfront site has established two programs named “Cheers to the Community” and “Stay by the Creek”, which aim to provide value-based services while extending their impact to the wider community. The move mirrors a current trend among luxury hotels to forge tighter local ties, thus enhancing occupancy and footfall.

Under the “Cheers for the Community” program, professionals in healthcare, education, and hospitality get up to 30% discounts at various dining outlets. The aim is to thank these workers while also encouraging them to return and dine again at the hotel.

The “Stay by the Creek” package offers UAE residents a quick city escape starting at AED 399 per night. The offering provides bundled benefits which include dining discounts, spa access and flexible check-in options while delivering recreational activities that improve the guest experience.

Industry observers note that such initiatives demonstrate a strategic transformation that hotels use to develop brand loyalty through their community-oriented programs while establishing new ways to generate revenue.

The growing intensity of competition in Dubai’s tourism industry has established community-led engagement as a vital element that distinguishes different tourism operators from each other. The Radisson Blu Deira Creek needs to combine its historical heritage with its regional services because this approach will help the hotel maintain its market position and achieve sustainable development.
