Background

Dubai Chambers has signed two agreements with Indian industry bodies during a visit to Bengaluru, aiming to deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence and grow trade links between Dubai and India.

Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, led the delegation, which held eight meetings with major Indian companies and business groups over the course of the trip.

The first agreement, signed with Nasscom, sets up a partnership focused on Agentic AI and deeptech. Under the deal, Nasscom will help Indian firms explore opportunities to set up and grow their operations in Dubai.

Both sides also plan to share technical knowledge, build stronger ties between their business communities, and back joint innovation projects in emerging technology.

The second MoU, signed with the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), focuses on widening trade and investment flows between the two regions. It is expected to give companies from both sides easier access to new markets and encourage more business partnerships.

Officials from Dubai Chambers said the agreements reflect the emirate’s push to position itself as a base for companies working in advanced technology, particularly those looking to expand into markets across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

The visit is part of a broader effort by Dubai Chambers to strengthen economic ties with Indian states and industry bodies, building on earlier partnerships in trade, technology and investment promotion.
