The conference carries the theme “Driving Transition in a Changing World” and forms part of Hong Kong Green Week 2026. It will focus on building stronger climate finance links between Asia and the Middle East.

The DFSA and HKMA set up the initiative together to deepen cooperation between Dubai and Hong Kong as both cities grow their roles in sustainable and transition finance.

The conference, themed “Driving Transition in a Changing World,” forms a key part of Hong Kong Green Week 2026 and will focus on strengthening climate finance links between Asia and the Middle East.

The DFSA and HKMA created the initiative together to deepen ties between Dubai and Hong Kong as both cities grow their roles in sustainable and transition finance.

Backed by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited and Nasdaq Dubai, the event will explore partnerships, financing solutions and innovations that can support a steady green transition amid global economic and geopolitical shifts.

Discussions will centre on emerging and strategic sectors in Dubai and Hong Kong, along with ways the two financial centres can help mobilise capital for transition projects.

The programme includes keynote addresses, fireside chats and panel discussions aimed at turning sustainable finance commitments into real investment and business opportunities.

Eddie Yue, Chief Executive of the HKMA, said collaboration among major sustainable finance hubs can direct capital toward real-world solutions that support the green transition while opening new investment opportunities.

Mark Steward, Chief Executive of the DFSA, said the conference reflects the strong partnership between the two regulators, offering a platform to exchange ideas, strengthen cross-border ties and support the growth of sustainable finance across both regions.
