Dubai Municipality announced that it will launch the Middle East’s first integrated recreational vehicle (RV) route by the end of this year. The new network will make RV travel easier and more popular for residents and visitors and will offer new ways to explore Dubai’s natural landscapes.
The project will create a single, connected system of RV stations, serviced parks, and road-trip routes across the emirate. These routes will link Dubai’s deserts, beaches, and mountain areas, offering travellers safe and well-equipped stopping points designed for RV use.
Dubai Municipality will build the main infrastructure and create clear rules for how the system works. Private developers and operators will then build, manage, and operate RV parks and related services. This approach is expected to attract investment and help grow a new RV tourism sector in Dubai.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, said the project reflects Dubai’s focus on fresh and sustainable tourism ideas. He added that the initiative will improve the quality of life and create new business opportunities, while allowing families to enjoy outdoor travel in a safe and accessible way.
The RV parks and routes are planned as year-round destinations. They will include facilities such as food outlets, wellness areas, and recreational spaces for people of all ages and abilities. The initiative supports the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, which plans to boost the city’s economy and tourism.
Dubai Municipality will support the industry by offering lower land costs and subsidies. It will also help banks give flexible payment options for buying and renting RVs.
