Background
Greaves Cotton Limited has established a subsidiary company named Greaves International Trading FZE in Dubai. The unit will oversee trading and distribution work, backing the firm’s expansion into the Middle East and Africa.
The move is part of Greaves Cotton’s larger GREAVES.NEXT strategy, which treats international business as a major driver of future growth.
Based in the UAE, the subsidiary is expected to bring the company closer to customers and channel partners while helping it respond faster in fast-growing markets. Its location is also meant to support supply chain coordination and stronger customer engagement across the region.
The Dubai unit will take charge of business development, technical support, aftermarket services, channel partnerships and distribution. It will give regional customers access to Greaves Cotton’s diesel engines, gensets and powertrain solutions from its Energy, Mobility and Industrial Solutions divisions.
The company said the new setup would build a more connected trading network and lift efficiency across its international operations.
Greaves Cotton plans to first target Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain, before moving into the Levant region and African markets.
The company said international business now plays a bigger part in its overall performance, with its share climbing from 9 per cent to 13 per cent during FY26.
The company added that the Dubai subsidiary would support long-term growth by allowing faster decisions, closer contact with customers and better delivery of products and services across the region.
