Background:
Dubai-born specialty coffee brand Saddle Café has officially opened its first outlet in Courchevel, marking a major milestone in the brand’s international growth and introducing an Emirati-founded café concept to one of Europe’s most exclusive winter destinations.
The new café is located in Courchevel 1850, the resort’s most prestigious village, known for attracting global travellers, skiers and luxury shoppers throughout the winter season. With this opening, Saddle makes its debut in Courchevel while strengthening its expanding European presence, following successful launches in London, Cannes and Saint-Tropez.
The Courchevel café, designed for alpine life, covers 40 square metres and has seating for nine guests. The small, comfortable café is perfect for guests who want to sit and relax, as well as for those stopping briefly between ski runs or shopping. It is open daily from 9am to 7pm during the winter season.
While keeping Saddle’s modern and clean style, the interior has been adapted to bring the warmth and pace of mountain life, offering a calm retreat amid the resort’s activity.
The Courchevel menu is based on Saddle’s French offerings, with a few items made especially for the alpine setting. In addition to specialty coffee, guests can enjoy fresh crepes, gourmet sandwiches, pistachio milkshakes, and açai smoothies. Seasonal items such as rich hot chocolate, warming chai and steel-cut oat porridge have been introduced to suit colder weather and slower alpine mornings.
In addition to its food and beverage offering, the Courchevel outlet features exclusive retail items available only at this location. The café also offers a collection of branded items, including clothing, winter accessories like gloves, and limited-edition mugs, all inspired by Saddle’s style and the alpine environment.
Founded in Dubai in 2017, Saddle Café has become one of the UAE’s most well-known homegrown café brands. The Courchevel opening is an important step in its European growth, bringing the brand to popular international lifestyle destinations.
Commenting on the launch, founder Mohamed Matar Al Falasi described Courchevel as one of the world’s most iconic alpine destinations, calling the opening both a point of pride and an opportunity to share Saddle’s approach to hospitality, design and coffee culture with a global luxury audience.
With its first location now open in Courchevel, Saddle Café continues to carry a distinctly Emirati brand into new cultural and international markets.
