Key Facts

  • Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is a global freight and logistics company operating across air, sea, road and contract logistics in over 100 countries.
  • Jafza is one of the world’s largest free zones, offering direct access to Jebel Ali Port and serving as a key trade corridor between Europe, Asia and Africa.

Background

Both Hellman Worldwide Logistics and the INDU Group have created the foundations for a logistics center that would one day become a state-of-the-art automotive logistics facility based in Jafza, the free zone of Dubai, thus securing Jafza’s status as an essential trade center, not only in the Middle East and Africa but elsewhere around the world as well.

The space provided is extensive, at 300,000 square feet, and the facility is expected to handle all of the logistics for automotive parts. The facility will use high-density bin storage and pallet racking as well as unique handling of large parts. This facility will be a key component of Hellmann’s automotive logistics operation in the Middle East under INDU Logistics, which is part of the INDU Group.

This facility will help expedite the delivery of automotive spare parts within the GCC countries and Africa due to increasing demand for such logistic services. According to Hellmann Regional CEO for IMEA Lee I’Ons, the UAE represents an essential hub in Hellmann’s global operations. He added that the new hub expands regional capabilities and delivers scalable, industry-focused infrastructure for long-term customer growth.

Abdulla Al Hashmi, Global Chief Operating Officer for Parks and Economic Zones at DP World, noted that the investment reflects rapid automotive industry growth in the Middle East. He said customers increasingly require faster and more reliable access to spare parts across multiple markets, and that specialised infrastructure in Dubai helps partners manage supply chain uncertainty.

Jafza continues to serve as a critical link between Europe, Asia and Africa, supported by direct access to Jebel Ali Port and multimodal connectivity. The new facility strengthens its position as a center for specialized, high-value supply chains.
