Background-

Lianlian DigiTech, a global payment and fintech platform listed in Hong Kong as 02598.HK, has opened its Middle East regional office in Gate Village, Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). The move follows its recent Category 3D Payment Service Provider license from the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).

The company says the office marks a key step in its long-term commitment to the region. It plans to pair DIFC’s financial infrastructure with its global network and local expertise to deliver cross-border payment and treasury management solutions.

Strong trade along the China-UAE corridor drives demand for local collections, multi-currency cash management and vendor payouts. From DIFC, Lianlian DigiTech will deepen ties with regional banks, financial institutions and commercial partners. It will offer cross-border collections, foreign exchange conversions and global vendor disbursements under the relevant licenses.

The company also built a one-stop solution for trading firms. It links local collections, real-time foreign exchange and vendor payments, which helps businesses shorten fund turnover cycles, cut exchange costs and see their treasury flows from start to finish. In the region, it already works with e-commerce platform Noon and supports merchant settlements on Amazon UAE and Amazon Saudi Arabia.

Lianlian DigiTech sees Dubai as a gateway for trade. The Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) aims to double the emirate’s economy and lift foreign trade to AED 25.6 trillion over the next decade.

Founded in 2009, Lianlian DigiTech holds 68 payment licenses and serves more than 13.3 million clients in over 200 countries and regions.
