Background

Abu Dhabi has honoured 35 local businesses for their sustainability efforts, with the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) presenting its Sustainability Label awards at the ongoing Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX 2026).

The winners come from construction, manufacturing, food, farming, healthcare, technology, automotive and hospitality, among other fields. The Chamber said this mix shows that more private firms now treat sustainability as part of everyday planning and management.

The label helps companies turn green goals into steps they can track. The programme reviews performance, builds skills and pushes firms to keep improving.

Winners were grouped into five categories. With this round, 54 firms have now earned the label across the first two phases of the programme.

The Diamond tier was won by AECOM Middle East, Labotel, Arabian Gulf Steel Industries, and Ernst & Young Middle East (Abu Dhabi Branch). Gold winners included Crown Paper Mill, National Cement Factory and Emitac Healthcare Solutions. AKAR Landscaping Services & Agriculture and Union Copper Rod were awarded silver, and Emirates Motor Company and National Dairy were awarded bronze.

Dr Ali bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, First Vice Chairman of the Chamber, said investors and global supply chains now give sustainability more weight. He said firms that track and improve their results will manage risks better and spot new openings.

He added that the winners have shown real progress and help build a stronger private sector that backs the emirate’s economic goals.

LIVEX 2026 brings together policymakers, investors and business leaders to discuss liveability, investment and sustainable growth in Abu Dhabi.
