Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi has appointed TGP International to lead the food and beverage strategy for a new dining destination within the mall, the company announced this week.

The project aims to create a dedicated dining hub combining regional concepts with international brands. Reem Mall, valued at $1.3 billion, spans 186,000 square metres and is among the largest malls in the region, featuring more than 400 stores, including 80 food and beverage outlets, along with 6,400 parking spaces.

Under the agreement, TGP International will provide strategic advisory services covering concept curation, positioning, tenant mix strategy and commercial planning for the new destination, aimed at appealing to both residents and visitors.

Reem Mall’s Chief Operating Officer, Bruce von Kaufmann, said modern consumers seek destinations offering authenticity, variety and a strong sense of place. He said the project was designed to move beyond traditional mall dining by blending diverse culinary concepts with a calendar of family entertainment within a single social ecosystem. He added that the partnership with TGP International would help set a new benchmark for retail and dining integration in the capital.

The appointment forms part of Reem Mall’s broader vision to combine shopping, dining, entertainment and community experiences within one destination, placing food and beverage at the centre of the visitor experience.

TGP International’s founder and chairman, Simon Wright, said the most successful retail destinations today were those giving people meaningful reasons to visit and return, adding that food and beverage had become a key driver of that behaviour. He said the project offered an opportunity to celebrate local culture and support regional talent, and expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Reem Mall.
